Union of Skills
The European Commission’s skills strategy (EVP Roxana Mînzatu), built on four pillars: building skills, upskilling and reskilling the workforce, circulating skills across the single market, and attracting global talent. Its first-anniversary deliverables in March 2026 included the European Skills Intelligence Observatory (run by the JRC), a European Skills High-Level Board chaired by Ylva Johansson, the Skills Guarantee Pilot, and a Council Recommendation on human capital.
How TalentPath aligns
TalentPath is a working demonstration of the strategy’s core idea — lifelong, continuously developed skills. It supports pillar 2 (upskilling and reskilling) through free assessment and targeted learning pathways, and pillar 3 (circulation of skills) by mapping competences to ESCO so they read the same way across the single market.
