The Digital Skills Assessment is a free, standards-based test grounded in DigComp 3.0 — the European Digital Competence Framework for Citizens published by the EU Joint Research Centre in November 2025.
This assessment covers 7 competence areas — the 5 DigComp 3.0 areas plus AI Literacy and Data & Privacy (GDPR) — across 105 questions drawn from a bank of 350 to ensure every attempt is unique. Pass all areas at ≥70% to earn a W3C Verifiable Credential — machine-readable, tamper-proof, and compatible with the EU Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI).
Two question types are used: knowledge recall and real-world judgement (situational scenarios with partial credit) — together they test not just what you know, but whether you can apply it under realistic conditions.
Every attempt draws a different set of 15 questions per domain from a pool of 50. Scores are revealed per domain after completion — exam conditions throughout.
